History, Art & Gardens Trolley Tour
Sunday: June 4th – 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Enjoy a trolley tour of historic Lakewood Cemetery. A haven in the heart of Minneapolis, Lakewood was founded in 1871 by many of Minneapolis’ early leaders. These leaders created Lakewood as a place for the city’s community to be buried in a peaceful and beautiful setting.

On the tour, you’ll learn about Lakewood’s history and see monuments of politicians, musicians, businessmen and women, artists, and everyday heroes. You’ll also learn about the design of Lakewood’s park-like landscape and gardens, and see artistic monuments and sculpture from the Victorian era to today.
· Cost for the tour is $10.00, which will be collected at the event. Cash or check accepted.
· Board the trolley in front of Lakewood’s Memorial Chapel starting at 12:45 p.m.; the trolley will leave promptly at 1 p.m. The tour is approximately one hour long.
· Free parking is available along roads inside the cemetery near the Chapel.
